Classic Peru, Inca Trail and Mountain of Seven colors

1 day - Lima

Arrival at the Jorge Chavez international airport of Lima, where a collaborator will wait for you for the transfer to the hotel in Lima.

Day 2 Lima - Paracas

Day 3 The Ballestas Islands: “The Peruvian Galapagos - Nazca

After breakfast, excursion to the spectacular Ballestas Islands:

You will observe sea lions, boobies (tropical birds), pelicans, penguins and other marine birds. Approaching the islands, we will see a prehistoric geoglyph carved in the sand, the mysterious Candelabrum (used in ancient times to guide navigators).

4 day Nazca - Arequipa

After breakfast visit to the Mirador of the Nazca Lines. From Mirador you will see only a part of it from a terrestrial perspective (optional overflight of the Nazca lines). Afterwards we visit the Cantalloc Aqueduct (all visits with a private speaking peru guide) In the early afternoon transfer to the bus terminal and travel by VIP bus to Arequipa (lunch on board and sandwich before arrival). Reception in Arequipa and transfer to the hotel.

5 day Arequipa

Breakfast in hotel. Followed by a private guide tour of the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arequipa is ideal for acclimatizing to high altitudes - you will in fact be 2,400 meters above sea level. Staying at this altitude, before heading to the Andes is the best way to be able to face the Andes without complications. Walk in the historic center of Arequipa (Unesco Heritage). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6 The Andes and Colca Canyon

After breakfast, early at 07:30, departure for Colca Canyon: today we travel by Mercedez minibus with driver. Colca Canyon (3,191 meters deep), the second deepest canyon in the world (twice the size of the United States' Grand Canyon) During the journey (lasting about four hours) we will cross the Pampa Cañahuas in the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, inhabited by vicuñas and alpacas. We will also see lakes, birds of the plateau and herds of alpacas. The views will be breathtaking, both metaphorically and physically, due to the altitude. Before going down to Chivay (the provincial capital of the canyon) we will pass one of the highest points of our tour, at 4,830 meters above sea level. In fact, we will find ourselves at the Mirador de los Vulcanes from which you can admire the chain of volcanoes surrounding Arequipa: Hualcahualca, Sabancalla and Ampato (all over 6,000 meters high) Accommodation for the night in an Andean Lodge in Chivay or Yanque.

7 days Colca Canyon - Cruz Del Condor - Puno and the Altiplano

After breakfast we head to the Cruz Del Condor to admire the majestic condors flying over the cliffs of the canyon. On the way to Lake Titicaca you will stop at numerous Andean populations: Yanque, Achoma and Maca. At lunch stop in Tequile for a buffet (lunch included). Afternoon walk at 4,000 meters. We then continue towards Puno, this journey offers wonderful natural landscapes, such as green steppes, particular rocky erosions and the snow-covered Chachani, as well as wild vicuñas, alpacas and llamas. You will continue through small towns and a beautiful lagoon called Lagunillas, where you can see trout farms and, if we are lucky, the Andean flamingos. 8 day Lake Titicaca - Uros and Taquile islands

After breakfast, transfer to the Port of Puno where you will start the boat excursion. With an area of ​​8,400 square meters at a height of 3,810 meters, Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world. Its deep waters are crystal clear, the sky is deep blue and the shining rays of high altitude flood the plateau: it is a magical atmosphere! First stop are the Uros Islands. This fifty floating islands are built using layers of totora (reeds) that grow on the lake. Continuation to Taquile where there will be lunch included and the possibility of walking. Inhabited for thousands of years, the islanders (who speak Quechua) live practically outside the modern world. The guide will tell you some funny anecdotes about the use of different hats and their social significance. The taquileños are famous for their fine yarns. In 2005 "Taquile and its textile art" were named "Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO. Return to Puno.

9 day The road of Manco Capac - Cusco

This day starts at dawn, It starts with a panoramic bus to travel the "The Manco Capac's Route" the founder of Cusco. From the arid Altiplano you will see the panorama change once you have crossed the Raya Pass. From here on, the lush Land of the Incas will welcome you. The first stop will be Puakara, which rises to 3,876 meters above sea level. Pyramidal buildings characterize this pre-Hispanic city. In the late morning you will arrive at the mountain pass of La Raya: the highest point which is 4,310 meters high. Here you will be able to go down, breathe the fresh air and take photos of grazing llamas and alpacas. This is the junction point between the mountain range and the beginning of the Vulcanite Node. The sacred river of the Inca namesake was born right here. After these breathtaking landscapes, you will have lunch in Sicuani in a restaurant that will offer us a buffet meal (included). You will then continue to Raqchi and the "Temple of Wiracocha": a huge two-storey rectangular structure measuring 92 x 25.5 meters. This Inca temple is truly impressive! The last stop will be Andahuaylillas, considered the "Sistine chapel of Peru". Built between the 16th and 17th centuries, the church was the work of the Jesuits. Its walls are covered with a large number of frescoes and the ceilings with decorative elements. The most valuable piece is the painting entitled "The Virgin of the Assumption", from the school of Cusco. Arrival in the imperial city of Cusco, where we will spend the night.

10 day Inca Trail (2 days - short route)

The two day Inca Trail (short route) is an excellent solution to reach Machu Picchu on foot without undertaking an activity that is too demanding on a physical level. The route is suitable for all people who are in good health, better if you are a bit trained, but it does not involve any technical difficulties. A little resistance is needed, also due to the high altitude that makes everything more tiring, but following your own pace and without haste, you can complete the trek without any particular difficulties. The trek will not be individual, it will be with a small group of people (they don't do it only for 2). After breakfast transfer by train to Ollantaytambo. The train will drop you off at km 104 where the guide will meet you.

Official Short Inca Trail 2 days entrance and start of the 4-hour trek to reach Winay Wayana (forever young), an archaeological site located along the Inca path to reach Macchi Picchu. Packed lunch, continuation to the Porta Del Sol to admire one of the most beautiful views of the Maccu Picchu. Day 11 Machu Picchu (2,430 meters)

After breakfast we depart by bus to the Shrine of Machu Picchu. Day dedicated to climbing Machu Picchu. Return to Aguas Calientes in the late afternoon and train to Ollantaytambo.

Night in Cusco

12 day The imperial city of Cusco and the Inca sites

After breakfast, visits begin with a private speaking Peru guide. Beginning with a visit to the "Temple of the Sun" Korikancha. This was the most important place of worship in the time of the Incas. The Spaniards built the Convent of Santo Domingo on top of it. Continue outside the city to visit:

  1. The ceremonial center of Kenko, considered a sacred place by the Incas.
  2. Puca Pucara, military ruins. This fort is made up of large walls, terraces and stairways and was part of the defense system of Cusco, known as the Red Fortress.
  3. Finally, the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, strategically located on a hill overlooking the city. It is famous for its huge worked stones, some of which are more than 9 meters high and weigh over 350 tons. In the afternoon you will have a meeting with the trekking guides for the mountain of seven colors.

13 day Vinincunca - Mountain of Seven Colors Early

Departure (05:00 in the morning) for Vinicunca, with stop for breakfast in a local restaurant. To get to Vinicunca, the starting point of the Trekking, you will cross the Andes, colorful canyons and deep valleys crossed by rivers. After a 3 hour journey, stop for breakfast in a typical restaurant. The picturesque journey will pass through colorful canyons, deep valleys and beautiful rivers. Once you arrive at the starting point of the trek to Vinicunca, you will have enough time to unpack your bags and rest while admiring the view of Mount Ausangate. After lunch, the walk and ascent to Pampakucho will begin. The route will take you through many spectacular high altitude places surrounded by local shepherds, lush pampas and hundreds of alpacas. Here begins the adventure of the Rainbow Mountains.

14 day Vinincunca - Mountain of Seven Colors - Cusco

A wonderful day awaits you on the Rainbow Mountains or Mountain of Seven Colors. After waking up in the morning with a cup of coca tea, you will be served a hearty breakfast. Then you will begin the final ascent to the Rainbow Mountains which will last about 3 hours. Upon arrival you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the 360 ​​degree panorama and explore the mountain. You will have time to enjoy the natural beauty of this magical place. After exploring the area and taking some photos, you will begin to descend towards Vinicunca. After a short stop for lunch, you will reach the end of the route and get on a bus to return to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.
